Former interim Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile made a stunning announcement about Hillary Clinton’s failing health during the 2016 presidential campaign. There wouldn’t be anything new about that if the liberal media hadn’t minimized it at the time.
Clinton was so ill in fact, Brazile strongly considered replacing her with Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders.
Democratic media didn’t spend as much time reporting on Clinton as they did covering up for her. During a campaign, nothing is sacred, hardly any secrets can be kept from the thousands of journalists covering every minute of it. How would it be possible that none of the left-leaning journalists caught wind that the nominee might be replaced?
The story that Brazile tells was missed by the media because they were so intent on getting Clinton elected into office and defeating Donald Trump.
The Drudge report and some smaller Republican news sites brought up Clinton’s obvious health issues, but her campaign insisted the coughing, dizzy spells and fainting were just – allergies.
On Labor day, Clinton was unable to finish her speech because of a coughing fit and NBC reporter Andrew Rafferty reported honestly about it. Rafferty was immediately mocked and insulted by the campaign and fellow journalists as well as MSNBC commentators. Nothing to see here folks…move along.
The Washington Post political writer Chris Cillizza and CNN joined in and declared Clinton’s health as “a totally ridiculous issue.”
When Clinton was unable to walk on her own and collapsed less than a week later, the campaign insisted she was just “dehydrated” because of the rigorous campaign schedule.
Brazile wrote that Clinton’s campaign was “anemic” and had “the odor of failure.” She wrote that she considered numerous tickets to replace Clinton and Sen. Tim Kane, and decided that Biden and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) would be the best.
Brazile’s book, “Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns That Put Donald Trump in the White House,” reveals how the party rigged the primaries to put Clinton on top, and that Clinton herself possible broke federal campaign finance laws.
