Dominatrix Barbie…NSFW

Not sure what to get your Valentine’s?

Well, if she or he is a Barbie aficionado with a penchant for some erotica, then Etsy has the gift idea for you.

On the shopping website, a Russian architect, artist, and designer named Mick, from Novosibirsk (in Siberia) is selling Barbie proportioned torture devices and BDSM equipment modeled by erotically clad Barbie dolls.

Mick’s products have been a huge hit, according to Dangerous Minds, who writes:

“His doll-sized work is rather authentic-looking and includes all kinds of bondage furniture such as benches, various ‘punishment boards’ (or pillories), cages, and even a little BDSM toilet. Mick also crafts kinky accessories like paddles, masks and fishnet stockings because even inanimate dolls want to look good while they are behaving badly. Most of Mick’s little bondage gear will run you anywhere from five bucks for a mini-mask to $95 for a deviant doll-sized dungeon diorama.”

The pictures of the products, while a bit risqué for Barbie, are tame compared to that published Deviant Art in 2012, when they were contemplating creating ‘Bondage Barbie’.

The toy erotica is not just for adults. In an article published on Westword by Jenn Wohletz, the author writes that as an eight-year-old:

“I used to tie up my Barbie dolls.

“I’d strip them, smother their smiling little mouths with duct tape smuggled from the garage, bind their delicate, sun-tanned limbs (this was the 1980s) with lengths of twine, twist ties or snippets of yarn, and then put each doll on her knees, waiting for Ken to come and do…something.”

Oh the possibilities Wohletz could have had with Mick’s products.

What do you think? Is Mick’s work appropriate?
